December 28, the birthday of Shri Ratan Tata, is proposed as Visionary Entrepreneurs Day to celebrate vision, leadership, innovation and the positive impact that entrepreneurs can create for society. 🌱🏛️💡

Over the past five days, this series has reflected on a simple progression.

Every Vision Starts Small.

Vision Needs Participation.

Participation Builds Momentum.

Why Andhra Pradesh Has A Unique Opportunity.

Momentum Creates Movements.

Today's reflection focuses on the next step.

Movements Need Leadership

A movement may begin with participation.

But participation alone is rarely enough.

To sustain momentum, movements need leadership.

Not leadership in the sense of authority.

Leadership in the sense of guidance, direction and inspiration.

Recent developments around Yogandhra illustrate this well.

As International Yoga Day approaches, preparations continue across Andhra Pradesh. Senior officials from the Ministry of Ayush have reviewed arrangements in Visakhapatnam, while Yogandhra activities continue to attract students, citizens and visitors across the state.

Participation creates momentum.

Leadership helps momentum endure.

Visakhapatnam 🤝 Varanasi

Tirupati 🤝 Thane

Yesterday's reflection introduced the idea that Visionary Entrepreneurs Day could create journeys of exposure.

As I reflected further, another thought emerged.

Not every journey begins with a train ticket.

A student from Varanasi may one day travel physically to Visakhapatnam, experiencing different landscapes, cultures and perspectives along the way.

But another student may participate digitally.

A mentoring session.

An innovation challenge.

A collaborative project.

The journey still happens.

Only the mode changes.

This is important because opportunity should not depend entirely on travel.

Leadership Removes Barriers

A travel-only programme may help a few students.

A hybrid programme may help many more.

A digital-first programme can reach thousands.

Perhaps the future of Visionary Entrepreneurs Day lies in embracing all three approaches:

Digital Participation
Hybrid Participation
Physical Participation

What matters is not the distance travelled.

What matters is the exposure gained.

Mera Paas RTIH Hai. Aur Yogandhra Bhi Hai.

The Visakhapatnam pairing also highlights something unique about Andhra Pradesh.

Visakhapatnam is not only emerging as an important centre for Yogandhra and International Yoga Day preparations.

It is also home to an RTIH spoke focused on sectors such as:

Smart Infrastructure
Blue Economy
MedTech
Biotech
FinTech

A student arriving in Visakhapatnam could potentially experience more than a wellness movement.

They could also gain exposure to innovation, entrepreneurship and emerging technologies.

In that sense, Visakhapatnam becomes more than a destination.

It becomes a learning platform.

What Could Visionary Entrepreneurs Day Become?

Over the last few days, an interesting thought has emerged.

Perhaps Visionary Entrepreneurs Day is not primarily about remembering a visionary entrepreneur.

Perhaps it is about encouraging future visionaries.

Students.

Mentors.

Innovators.

Community leaders.

Entrepreneurs.

People willing to help others move forward.

If that happens, the observance becomes more than a celebration.

It becomes a platform.

And every successful platform requires leadership.

One Final Thought

Participation may start a movement.

Momentum may help it grow.

But leadership helps it endure.

And perhaps leadership is not about helping a few people travel farther.

Perhaps leadership is about helping more people begin their journey.

That may be one of the most important lessons emerging from Yogandhra 2026.

The remarkable success of Yogandhra demonstrates how a shared vision can inspire participation from citizens, institutions and government alike.

Inspired by this spirit, I am continuing this reflection series leading up to International Yoga Day 2026 while exploring the idea of recognizing December 28, the birthday of Shri Ratan Tata, as the 1st Visionary Entrepreneurs Day.

‘Highlighting the success of last year’s programme, Shri Naidu said .. ‘Yogandhra -2025’ earned national and international recognition after the mega event in Visakhapatnam, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Over the past four days, this series has reflected on a simple progression.

Participation Builds Momentum.

Today's reflection focuses on the next step.

Momentum Creates Movements

A few days ago, the Yogandhra dashboard was almost empty.

Today, it reflects more than 8.9 lakh participations, over 1.31 lakh venues and thousands of trainers across Andhra Pradesh.

The numbers are impressive.

But what caught my attention was something else.

Why Do Some Ideas Become Movements?

History is full of ideas that looked promising.

Some faded away.

Some survived.

A few became movements.

The difference was rarely technology, infrastructure or funding.

More often, it was participation.

People decided the idea mattered.

And when enough people make that decision, momentum begins to build.

A programme begins with a plan.

A movement begins when people choose to participate.

That is the lesson I see emerging from Yogandhra.

Kakinada 🤝 Kanpur

Nandyal 🤝 Nagpur

Yesterday's reflection introduced the idea of district twinning.

Not for administration.

Not for competition.

But for learning, innovation and inspiration.

As I reflected further, another thought emerged.

What if students from Kanpur travelled to Kakinada during a future Visionary Entrepreneurs Day?

Along the way they might pass through places such as Prayagraj, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Vijayawada and Samalkot before arriving in Kakinada.

What if students from Nagpur travelled to Nandyal, crossing states, languages and landscapes before reaching Andhra Pradesh?

Each station would represent a different story.

Each city a different aspiration.

Yet all would be connected by the same journey and the same purpose — learning from one another.

Sometimes innovation begins with something as simple as seeing a different part of India.

Mera Paas RTIH Hai. Aur Yogandhra Bhi Hai.

Yesterday's reflection highlighted two assets that make Andhra Pradesh particularly interesting.

Yogandhra demonstrates participation.

RTIH demonstrates innovation.

One brings people together.

The other helps ideas grow.

Together, they create a foundation upon which larger possibilities can be imagined.

What Could Visionary Entrepreneurs Day Become?

When people hear "Visionary Entrepreneurs Day," the immediate assumption may be that it is simply a day to remember Shri Ratan Tata.

There is certainly value in remembering extraordinary individuals.

But I believe the larger opportunity lies elsewhere.

What if Visionary Entrepreneurs Day became a platform?

A platform where students discover possibilities.

A platform where entrepreneurs share lessons.

A platform where mentors guide future founders.

A platform where districts learn from one another.

A platform where innovation, leadership and service are celebrated together.

The value of Visionary Entrepreneurs Day will not come from the day itself.

Its value will come from the opportunities it creates.

One Final Thought

The Yogandhra dashboard may show 8.9 lakh participations today.

Tomorrow it may show an even larger number.

A few weeks later, those numbers may be forgotten.

What will remain is something else.

The reminder that participation matters.

Because every movement we admire today was once a small idea waiting for someone to participate.

That was true for Yogandhra.

That is true for entrepreneurship.

And perhaps one day, it may be true for Visionary Entrepreneurs Day as well.

Vision Needs Participation.

Participation Builds Momentum.

Today's reflection focuses on a different question.

Why Andhra Pradesh?

Mera Paas RTIH Hai. Aur Yogandhra Bhi Hai.

This thought came to me while reflecting on the progress of Yogandhra 2026.

Across Andhra Pradesh, thousands of citizens are preparing to participate in a statewide wellness movement.

At the same time, the state is investing in innovation, entrepreneurship and skill development through platforms such as the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH).

Individually, these initiatives are impressive.

Together, they tell a larger story.

One platform encourages participation.

Another platform encourages innovation.

Together, they help unlock human potential.

That combination is what makes Andhra Pradesh particularly interesting.

Not because other states cannot do something similar.

Many states have strong innovation ecosystems.

Many states have successful public participation programmes.

However, Andhra Pradesh already possesses a unique combination of Yogandhra and RTIH.

That combination is what inspired today's reflection.

What If Every Andhra Pradesh District Had A Twin District Across India?

As I thought about the future, a simple idea emerged.

What if every district of Andhra Pradesh found a twin district elsewhere in India?

Not for administration.

Not for competition.

But for learning.

For innovation.

For entrepreneurship.

For inspiration.

To illustrate the idea, consider two examples.

Anantapur 🤝 Amritsar

Visakhapatnam 🤝 Varanasi

These pairings are symbolic.

They are not official proposals.

They are simply examples of how districts from different parts of India might learn from one another while celebrating entrepreneurship, innovation and institution building.

A student in Anantapur may learn about enterprise and innovation stories from Amritsar.

A student in Amritsar may discover opportunities emerging through Andhra Pradesh's innovation ecosystem.

Similarly, Visakhapatnam and Varanasi represent two important cities connected by history, growth and aspiration.

The objective is not comparison.

The objective is connection.

Why This Matters

One lesson from Yogandhra is that participation creates momentum.

One lesson from entrepreneurship is that connections create opportunities.

When people learn from one another, ideas travel.

When ideas travel, innovation grows.

When innovation grows, institutions become stronger.

This is why I believe Andhra Pradesh has a unique opportunity.

Not because it is the only state capable of leading such conversations.

But because it already possesses two important ingredients.

Yogandhra.

And RTIH.

One promotes participation.

The other promotes innovation.

Together, they create a foundation upon which larger ideas can be imagined.

Looking Ahead

The concept of Visionary Entrepreneurs Day remains only an idea.

Ideas sometimes move quickly.

Sometimes they take years.

Sometimes they evolve into forms nobody originally imagined.

For now, I am simply exploring possibilities.

And one possibility is this:

What if entrepreneurship could become for innovation what Yogandhra is becoming for wellness?

That question, more than any answer, is what interests me.

The remarkable success of Yogandhra demonstrates how a shared vision can inspire participation from citizens, institutions and government alike.

Inspired by this spirit, I am continuing this 14-day reflection series leading up to International Yoga Day 2026 on a subject close to my heart – the idea of recognizing December 28, the birthday of Shri Ratan Tata, as the 1st Visionary Entrepreneurs Day.

Each day, I will explore one principle that connects successful public movements, entrepreneurship, innovation and nation-building.

Today's (09 June 2026) reflection focuses on what happens next.

Participation Builds Momentum

A vision may begin with one person.

Participation brings in many people.

Momentum begins when participation becomes visible.

Over the last few days, Yogandhra has steadily moved from an announcement to an active statewide campaign. Registrations have crossed important early milestones, yoga sessions are being conducted across districts, and citizens are beginning to see themselves as participants rather than observers.

This transition is important.

Movements do not become successful because they are announced.

Movements become successful because people participate.

And when participation becomes visible, momentum begins to build.

The First Participants Matter

In every successful movement, there is a first participant.

In every successful startup, there is a first customer.

In every successful institution, there is a first supporter.

The first few participants often take a leap of faith.

They join before success becomes obvious.

They participate before the crowd arrives.

Their contribution is often invisible, but it is invaluable.

Without early participants, there can be no momentum.

Momentum Is A Powerful Force

Momentum changes how people perceive an idea.

A vision that appears ambitious on Day 1 begins to look achievable when more people join.

A startup that appears risky begins to attract attention when customers start arriving.

An innovation ecosystem becomes more attractive when entrepreneurs, mentors and institutions begin to participate.

Momentum creates confidence.

Confidence attracts participation.

Participation creates more momentum.

This cycle can transform small ideas into significant movements.

What Entrepreneurs Understand

Entrepreneurs understand the value of momentum.

Many successful ventures begin with limited resources.

What keeps them moving is not scale.

It is momentum.

A new customer.

A new partnership.

A new mentor.

A new team member.

Each step may appear small.

Yet together they create forward movement.

This is one reason why participation is so important.

Participation creates evidence that an idea is worth supporting.

As I reflected on the early momentum of Yogandhra, a larger thought emerged.

Why does Andhra Pradesh repeatedly appear in discussions around innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development and public participation?

The answer, in my view, lies not in any single programme.

It lies in a broader willingness to create platforms that unlock human potential.

Yogandhra is one such platform.

Its purpose extends beyond a single day of yoga. It encourages participation, wellness, discipline and community engagement at scale.

Similarly, RTIH represents another platform.

Its purpose extends beyond infrastructure and incubation. It seeks to connect students, innovators, entrepreneurs, mentors and communities, creating opportunities that may not have existed otherwise.

The common thread is participation.

When people participate, they discover capabilities they may not have previously recognised.

A student discovers innovation.

An entrepreneur discovers mentorship.

A volunteer discovers leadership.

A researcher discovers collaboration.

A citizen discovers purpose.

This is how ecosystems are built.

Andhra Pradesh has already demonstrated a willingness to invest in such ecosystems.

Whether through innovation initiatives, skill development programmes, startup support mechanisms or Yogandhra, the underlying objective appears consistent:

Create platforms where people can learn, contribute and grow.

This is one reason I believe the state is uniquely positioned to explore the concept of Visionary Entrepreneurs Day.

The strongest argument for such a day is not that it commemorates a respected industrialist.

The stronger argument is that it can become an annual platform that encourages participation in entrepreneurship, innovation and institution building.

A student attending for the first time may discover a startup idea.

A mentor may connect with a future entrepreneur.

An innovator may find collaborators.

An educational institution may discover new opportunities for engagement.

The value of such a platform compounds over time.

If nurtured patiently, a Visionary Entrepreneurs Day could eventually become for entrepreneurship what Yogandhra is becoming for wellness:

A recurring opportunity for participation, learning and inspiration.

That possibility, more than any individual celebration, is what interests me.

A Thought For RTIH

The same principle applies to innovation ecosystems.

The success of RTIH will not be measured solely by buildings, technology platforms or announcements.

Its long-term success will depend on participation.

Students.

Researchers.

Mentors.

Entrepreneurs.

Investors.

Industry partners.

Communities.

When participation grows, momentum grows.

When momentum grows, opportunities multiply.

Looking Ahead

As Yogandhra progresses toward International Yoga Day, participation numbers will continue to evolve.

Some days the growth may appear rapid.

Some days it may appear modest.

Yet every participant contributes to momentum.

The same principle applies to entrepreneurship.

The same principle applies to institution building.

And perhaps the same principle applies to ideas such as Visionary Entrepreneurs Day.

Great ideas do not become reality overnight.

They gather momentum one participant at a time.

Participation builds momentum.

And momentum creates possibilities that once seemed impossible.
